Uzzwal Mondal

Uzzwal Kumar Mondal is an associate professor at the Department of Journalism and Media Studies (JMS). He holds a master’s and a bachelor’s in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka. Before joining as a lecturer at the department in 2011, he had worked as a sub-editor at the Bangla daily Prothom Alo. Uzzwal Kumar’s interests center around online journalism, new media, and human communication. He has published three articles based on qualitative and quantitative research projects including a discourse analysis on news reports on the BDR Mutiny, a survey on audience’s interactivity on Bangladeshi online news media, and a case study on online news.
